Football legend David Beckham has found a potent strike partner in his bid to help the world’s poorest kids.
Becks teamed up with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in New York to launch Voices of Youth, writes Steve White in the Sunday People.
Dad-of-four Becks, 40, a Unicef goodwill ambassador for 10 years, said
: “2014 was one of the most devastating years for children and 2015 is as bad.
"It breaks my heart to see children continue to suffer.”
Becks hopes the 15-year-long initiative will make a huge difference and added: “Every child has a voice, but too often they’re just not heard.”
