Yesterday (March 11) the GossipCenter reported that police were called to the Miami Beach residence of Lil Wayne following an anonymous call, and it turned out to be nothing more than the latest celebrity swatting attempt.
The “Mrs. Officer” rapper actually wasn’t home at the time, though the caller claimed that four people had been shot and that the shooter was looking to engage the cops in a firefight.
Thankfully no one was actually hurt and everyone walked away in one piece. The Miami Beach Police Department tweeted, “MBPD handles all calls of this nature in a serious manner. In this case it appears to have be a hoax @ #LiLWaynes home. #Swatting.”
